I wonder what it would look like if you neatly trimmed the edges and mounted on white or black board. Do you think the irregular edges of the painterly strokes would have more emotive power? Really nice work.
Beautiful work, Afiwa! I’m curious to know if you continued using your palette knife to lay down the rest of your colors or did you transition to using a paint brush? I remember we discussed both options, and regardless I’m really impressed with how quickly you developed mixing cleaner colors with the palette knife.
I know this is a late reply (lol) but yes, I followed your methods about mixing with the palette knife and using the brush next. It was very helpful in creating the little squares. Thank you!!!
